GetAhead CD-ROM courseware has been developed to deliver a fully interactive training course incorporating animation, 3D graphics, audio and textual content, to run on any Windows PC or Laptop that meets the minimum system requirements.

We each receive learning in different ways which is why GetAhead courseware enables your personnel to take control of learning delivery, to study at their own pace, when they want, where they want and as often as they want, with animation enabled or not, with tutor narrative or course text - or both, and the course companion supplied with each course enables them to follow the course and make notes and comments throughout.

CD-ROM Text and Audio

GetAhead course text is written in International English and the audio narrative is spoken in Standard English by both male and female virtual tutors. In our experience, the alternating between male and female voice from one Study Area section to another, provides a more engaging narrative particularly during longer sessions of study.

CD-ROM courseware screen examples

Each GetAhead CD-ROM course is presented by a virtual tutor in an easy to follow format with intuitive navigation and interactive elements. Courses are broken down into learning sections of between 5 to 15 minutes duration and because the courseware remembers which sections of the course have been completed, candidates are able to manage learning sessions to suit their personal circumstances.

At the heart of each GetAhead course is the Course Administration module which enables company Training Managers, Line Managers or Supervisors to record and monitor candidate progress and performance.

The Course Administrator can record test scores, enabling managers to monitor and manage candidate performance where appropriate to ensure a positive return on the training investment.

Each course starts with a clearly defined contents page indicating the status of each Study Area - completed, partially completed or not started.

The list of sections covered in each Study Area also have status indicators so you can easily pick-up where you left off.

Your virtual tutor explains the aims of each section and the topics to be covered.

Content is delivered with rich graphics, bullet points and detailed narration.

Study topics are supported with clear examples and interactive question and answer sections.

Screen Text is available should you wish to follow or even silence course narration.

IN-COMPANY TRAINERS can use GetAhead courseware through digital projectors, with the Administration recording mode set to OFF, to deliver training sessions to groups of personnel who can collaborate during the interactive and question and answer sections.
